Be careful going to Nepal border, border will remain closed from 10 pm to 6 am, know the complete guidelines

Madhwapur (Madhubani): The controversy arising out of barricading by SSB (Armed Border Force) on many roads of Madhwapur border located on India-Nepal border is deepening. To calm down the tension that started late on Thursday evening, an important dialogue meeting was called between officials and villagers at Madhwapur SSB camp on Friday evening. Even after this long marathon meeting that lasted for about two and a half hours, no agreement could be reached between the two parties and the talks remained completely inconclusive.

Controversy started due to barricading on roads
The incident happened late on Thursday evening, when SSB suddenly put barricades on many main and local roads connecting the border for the purpose of security and to stop smuggling. This closure of the border roads enraged the local villagers and they started protesting strongly against it. Villagers say that the closure of these roads will severely affect their daily life and movement.

Senior officers of administrative and police departments gathered in the meeting
In view of the seriousness of the dispute, along with senior officers of SSB, senior administrative and police officers of the district were also present in this meeting called on Friday.

Key officials attending the meeting:
SSB 48th Battalion: Commandant Rajendra Kumar and Deputy Commandant Hari Narayan Jat.

Sub-division administration (Benipatti): SDM Sarang Pani Pandey and DSP Amit Kumar.

Local Administration: BDO Manoj Kumar Murmu, CO Sunil Kumar and Madhwapur Police Station Head Sunny Kumar Mausam.

Why was no conclusion reached even after two and a half hours of discussion?
During the meeting, the villagers put forth their practical problems before the security forces, while the SSB officials cited border security, rules and law and order. Administrative officials (SDM and DSP) tried to find a middle path between the two parties, but even after two and a half hours of debate and discussion, no final agreement could be reached.

At present, in view of the tension on the border, the police and administration are keeping an eye on the situation, and the possibility of talks again in the coming days is being expressed to resolve the matter.
