He has appealed to as many people as possible to participate in the big protest to be held on July 5 against this repressive policy. Besides, the citizens of India, especially the people of Srinagar, have also been asked to support this movement.

The army’s oppression and military aggression against the common people here demanding their basic rights has reached its peak. He said that in this very difficult period, all routes for supply of food items and essential medicines to the people have been completely closed. The rulers and security forces here are expressing their deep displeasure over even breathing of the people due to which the people are very upset.

Entry ban of opposition leaders

Earlier on June 30 also, Jammu and Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee had strongly condemned the repressive action of Pakistani authorities. The authorities had completely stopped a political delegation of opposition leaders from forcibly entering PoK. The committee had described this step as another major evidence of severely suppressing democratic rights and political dissent there. The administration has completely disrupted the supply of food items across the region and limited its access to the general public.

There was a very large and violent demonstration on July 2 against the ever increasing humanitarian crisis and human rights violations in PoK. National Anti-Terrorism Front India held this strong demonstration outside the United Nations (UN) office and demanded global intervention. Amnesty International has also condemned Pakistan’s use of such repressive tactics and weapons ahead of the upcoming regional elections. Pakistan has declared JAAC a ‘banned organisation’ By being designated as illegal there has been a very serious violation of all fundamental human rights.

More than 600 people arrested

PoK’s renowned social activist Amjad Ayub Mirza has also expressed his deep concern over the ever-increasing tension in the region. After the arrest of Shaukat Nawaz Mir, a prominent leader of Joint Awami Action Committee, the situation there is getting worse every hour. The real root of the huge controversy

The real root of this entire huge controversy is the 12 seats already reserved for the refugees of Jammu and Kashmir in the Legislative Assembly there. Local civil groups allege that Islamabad misuses these 12 seats to influence the elections here in its own way.

Through this, he forms his puppet governments and the local people have launched a big movement against this political interference. The Pakistani Army is monitoring with drones, in protest against which the activists have made a big announcement of complete boycott of the regional elections of July 27.
