While sharing a special post on social media on Saturday, July 4, PM Modi described America as India’s strongest strategic partner. In his message, he not only recalled the historical relations, but also expressed confidence that the friendship between India and America will become even stronger in the future.

Message from 140 crore Indians

Prime Minister Modi wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “On behalf of 140 crore Indians, I heartily congratulate President Trump and the people of America on the historic 250th anniversary of independence.” He further said that the relationship between India and America is not limited to just a strategic partnership. Our shared belief in democracy, rule of law and people’s power makes our friendship a great force for global good. He expressed hope that the coming 250 years will bring a new era of peace, prosperity and progress for America.

Cooperation in defense and technology is increasing

In the last few years, relations between India and America have gained a new momentum. The cooperation between the two countries has continuously deepened in defence, technology, trade and many other important areas. However, relationships have sometimes faced challenges. Recently, differences had come to light between the two countries regarding the trade deal, in which America wanted access to India’s agricultural sector. But PM Modi, keeping the interests of Indian farmers paramount, refused to budge on this deal, which shows India’s diplomatic strength.
