‘They ask for gun license, get pistol…’, OP Rajbhar on seat sharing in UP

Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Naveen is on Lucknow tour before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027. After earlier meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy CM and BJP leaders, he has held a meeting with NDA leaders. There can be discussion regarding seat distribution in the meeting.

There has been discussion regarding how many seats should be given to allies and whether new equations should be decided for the 2027 elections. Uttar Pradesh government minister Om Prakash Rajbhar said that BJP’s aim is to win more seats than in 2017. All the leaders are working to achieve this goal.

A meeting was held with representatives of BJP and allies under the leadership of BJP President Nitin Naveen. Om Prakash Rajbhar, who came out after the meeting, has indicated on seat distribution that his party, Suhaldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, may get less seats. What he has said on seat distribution can also be a lesson for other parties.

Om Prakash Rajbhar has said that Nitin Naveen has come for the first time. The meeting has been going on since 9.30 am. NDA is discussing how to win the next assembly elections. He said, ‘NDA alliance is contesting 403 seats. Our effort is to get more seats than in 2017. All the parties of the alliance are engaged with full force.

Om Prakash Rajbhar is active in the state, holding rallies at various places, meeting people, visiting the area. A journalist asked him whether Om Prakash Rajbhar would demand more than 100 seats? He replied, ‘People ask for a gun license, they get a pistol. Seat will be given on the basis of political status.
