Womens T20 WC 2026: The final match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be played today between Australia and England. The match will be played at Lord’s Stadium at 8 pm Indian time. ICC has announced the names of match officials for this match, in which the name of India’s Vrinda Rathi is included in the on-field umpire. Apart from this, the second umpire will be Jacqueline Williams.

India’s journey group stage ends

Even though the journey of this tournament ended in the group stage for the Indian team, Vrinda Rathi’s umpiring in the match is no less than an honor for the Indians. Vrinda Rathi, who has been a medium-pacer bowler and played for the Mumbai University women’s team for four years, but did not get a chance to play at the senior level.

Vrinda chose her career in umpiring

After this Vrinda thought of making her career in umpiring. Da Rathi will become only the second umpire of India to handle the responsibility of on-field umpire in the World Cup final. Earlier, India’s Ram Babu Gupta had umpired in the 1987 Men’s ODI World Cup final which was played at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata.

Vrinda Rathi Experience

Let us tell you that in the final matches, while Vrinda Rathi and Jacqueline Williams will handle the responsibility of on-field umpiring, the third umpire will be Kim Cotton. Till now, Vrinda has handled the responsibility of umpiring in 20 matches in ODI and 77 matches in Women’s T20 International.
