Bhuvan weds Gauri: Aamir Khan marries partner Gauri Spratt at homely ceremony
Twenty-five years ago, he met “Gauri”, his rustic on-screen love interest in The river. A quarter century later on Sunday (July 5), actor Aamir Khan married the real-life Gauri, Gauri Spratt, a fashion and beauty entrepreneur from Bengaluru, at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. Only close friends and members, including children from the two individuals’ previous marriages, were present. Some of the guests travelled from abroad.

The river director Ashutosh Gowariker was also present, along with some other members from the film fraternity. Reliance Industries Limited Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani and his family also came for the ceremony, even as the weather remained inclement
According to an NDTV report, the couple signed official papers to earn legal recognition of their marriage.
Aamir, Gauri have known each other for 25 years
Aamir, who turned 61 in March, confirmed his marriage with Gauri in June. The two have known each other for 25 years, but their relationship only turned romantic two years ago. The actor introduced Gauri to the media as his partner on March 14, 2025, the day he turned 60.
On that occasion, he even referred to his character in The river“Bhuvan”, saying, “Bhuvan got his Gauri.” (Bhuvan has got his Gauri now).
The actor, one of Bollywood’s famous Khan troika, married twice in the past. His first marriage was to film producer Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira Khan, who are an actor and a theatre director, respectively. The marriage ended in 2002.

Aamir next married Kiran Rao, a filmmaker, in 2005. They have a son, too, Azad, who was born in 2011. He was co-parented by his parents despite their separation in 2021.
Gauri, on the other hand, has a six-year-old son from her previous marriage.
Gauri Spratt’s grandfather was involved in freedom struggle
The entrepreneur, who hails from Bengaluru and lived most of her life in the city, is the daughter of Rita Spratt, who owned one of the city’s first upscale salons. Gauri’s grandfather, Philip Spratt, was a British writer and intellectual who became involved in India’s independence struggle.

Gauri, who thus belongs to a family that speaks of multiculturalism and historical connection, studied at Blue Mountain School and did a fashion course, FDA styling and photography at the University of the Arts, London, in the early 2000s, according to LinkedIn. It also says that she is the director/partner of BBlunt@Spratt hairdressing in Bengaluru.
On finding a new partner at 60, Aamir said at an HT event that he didn’t feel that he would be able to find a partner at such an age. He then praised Gauri, saying she is calm and steady and called himself fortunate for being with her. He also thanked his previous wives for contributing to making his life better.
