The rights of ‘Hera Pheri 3’ are only ours… Akshay Kumar’s production house issued notice

Mumbai: The controversy over Akshay Kumar’s ‘Hera Pheri 3’ is not getting resolved. First there was a lot of controversy when Paresh Rawal left the film and then came back and now the new name was Priyadarshan. Recently director Priyadarshan has distanced himself from this film. Now meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s production house has issued a public notice.

Akshay Kumar’s production house Cape of Good Phillies LLP has declared itself the exclusive holder for the production and commercial exploitation rights of the film Hera Pheri 3. This information has been given by the film magazine Complete Cinema in its latest edition. Its information has been made public by Akshay Kumar Fan Club itself. In this, all distributors, exhibitors, cinema chains, OTT platforms, TV broadcasters, digital platforms and other platforms have also been warned.




  • Akshay Kumar’s production house issued a notice saying that all the rights related to the film ‘Hera Pheri 3’ are with them only. That means, the rights to make the film, release it, show it in theaters or OTT, broadcast it on TV, promote it, license it or use it in any way rest with their production house Cape of Good Films LLP. Through this notice, he has informed the film industry, OTT platforms, TV channels, digital companies and all other concerned people that no work related to ‘Hera Pheri 3’ can be done without their permission.

    The notice further states that it will be necessary for all people to take the written permission of Cape of Good Films LLP before making any claim, negotiation or deal on the film. Let us tell you that Hera Pheri film franchise started in 2000 with Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal. The film proved to be a superhit at the box office and became one of the biggest comedy films of Hindi cinema. Its sequel ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ came in 2006. But now the controversy over the third part is not seeming to subside.
