When the money was lost in the stock market, the young man became a murderer, killed his neighbor and looted the gold chain.

A sensational murder case has come to light in Malabar Hill area of ​​South Mumbai, Maharashtra. According to the police, a 23-year-old youth killed his neighbor after suffering huge losses in the stock market. It is alleged that he had entered the woman’s house with the intention of looting the gold chain. When she protested, he strangled the woman and ran away with the gold chain and mobile phone.

 

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Jyoti Pawar, who worked as a domestic help to support her family. Accused Khaif Shaikh was his tenant and neighbor in Shimla Nagar of the same area. The police have taken him into custody and started questioning. The matter is also being investigated whether any other person was involved in the incident or not.

When Jyoti Pawar did not reach work on Saturday morning, her boss was worried. He immediately informed this to his daughter. The daughter reached her mother’s house from Borivali and kept knocking on the door for a long time but got no response from inside. After this the door was broken with the help of nearby people. Everyone was blown away after seeing the inside view. Jyoti Pawar was found dead inside the house. As soon as the information was received, the police and forensic team reached the spot and started investigating the case.

Police reached the accused through CCTV and technical investigation

During initial investigation, police found out that the woman had been strangled to death. After this, the police registered a case of murder and started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. Technical evidence was also collected and people of the area were also interrogated. On the basis of evidence found during the investigation, the police detained Khaif Sheikh. Upon strict interrogation, he confessed to his role in this incident.

Robbery planned to compensate for the loss

According to the police, the accused told during interrogation that he had suffered huge loss in the stock market and was facing financial crisis. To arrange the money, he planned to loot a gold chain from Jyoti Pawar’s house. When the woman protested and tried to raise noise, the accused strangled her to death. After this he ran away with the gold chain and mobile phone. The police are now trying to find out whether anyone else had a role in the incident or not.
