New Delhi. External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will leave for a six-nation tour from Sunday. He will visit Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Belgium and America.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), this visit will be to Gulf countries from July 5 to July 10. This visit is taking place at a time when the political situation in the region is changing rapidly after the peace agreement between America and Iran.

After completing the visit to Gulf countries, the Foreign Minister will go to New York. There he will launch the official campaign for India’s 2028-29 term on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on July 13. After this, on the last leg of the visit, he will go to Brussels, where he will attend the third meeting of the India-EU Trade and Technology Council.

    External Affairs Minister Jaishankar will be on an official visit to Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman from July 5 to July 10. During the visit, Jaishankar will meet counterparts and top leadership of these countries. The main objective of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations as well as exchange views on regional developments and common interests.

    The External Affairs Minister will launch India’s official UNSC 2028-29 candidature in New York on July 13. He will then attend the 3rd India-EU Trade and Technology Council Meeting (India-EU TTC) to be held in Brussels on 14 and 15 July and interact with representatives of the European Union and Belgium.

    When was TTC started and what is its purpose?

    According to the ministry, the TTC was launched in 2022, with the aim of increasing technical cooperation in important areas like Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing, Semiconductor and Cyber ​​Security.
