‘Double attack’ of weather: Warning of storm and heavy rain, be alert in these states

Monsoon has once again become fully active in many parts of the country, due to which the weather pattern is going to change completely. A low pressure area is developing rapidly in the north-west Bay of Bengal. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this weather system will hit the coastal areas of Odisha and move towards Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours. Due to its impact, there is a great danger of heavy rain, lightning (lightning) and strong winds with a speed of 50 to 80 kilometers per hour in 17 states of the country for the next few days.

Where will the ‘waters of disaster’ rain?

According to the Meteorological Department, between July 5 and 7, the maximum impact of this cyclonic system will be seen in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan-Goa, Saurashtra-Kutch and Central Maharashtra. There is a possibility of extremely heavy rain at many places in these states. In view of safety, IMD has issued a strict warning to fishermen not to go near the sea till July 7, as the sea condition remains very rough along the Bay of Bengal and north Andhra Pradesh coasts.

There will be relief from heat in Delhi-NCR

The weather has started taking a turn in Delhi and surrounding areas (NCR) from today, July 6. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of storm and rain for Delhi till July 8. There are chances of light to moderate rain since Monday morning and strong winds can blow at a speed of 50 km per hour. The good thing is that due to this change, the temperature of Delhi can drop to 33 degrees Celsius, which will provide great relief to the people from the humid heat.
