Michael B. Jordan’s ‘The Greatest’ brings Muhammad Ali’s legacy to life in first trailer
Michael B. Jordan-produced series The Greatest has unveiled its trailer on Prime Video, offering a glimpse of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
Executive produced by the 39-year-old American actor and director and created by Ben Watkins, the forthcoming show highlight the legacy of one of the most famous athletes in history, who died at the age of 74 on June 3, 2016, due to septic shock.
The Greatest stands as the first authorised scripted series on Ali’s life, with his widow Lonnie Ali also serving as an executive producer alongside Jordan.
As per the official description, the series delves deeper than the late boxer’s celebrated achievements inside the ring.
The biopic also highlights Ali’s life beyond boxing, including his struggles, beliefs, and path to becoming a global icon.
Inside the cast of The Greatest
The trailer features Jaalen Best as Cassius Clay (Ali’s birth name) during his early life, before becoming Muhammad Ali, alongside a cast that includes Giovanni Ribisi, Omari Hardwick, Dana Gourrier, Kai Parham, and Amin Joseph.
While discussing what to expect, Watkins revealed that the series will feature many unseen moments from the late athlete’s life.
The season starts with Ali’s 1960 Olympic gold medal victory and concludes with his first heavyweight title win in 1964, charting his rise from Cassius Clay to a boxing legend.

The forthcoming Muhammad Ali limited series The Greatest will premiere on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, on Prime Video.
