Not Darjeeling, Mirik and Kalimpong are going to be new destinations in tourism! This time 100 crore rupees are being allocated to decorate Mirik. This work will be done with the help of the Centre. State Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh announced this at the Bengal Chamber of Commerce function. He again said that the aim is to take northern tourism to the top in the world. He also criticized that the previous government did not do anything about tourism.
The minister wants to improve the tourism system of the state. Everyone associated with the tourism business, including hotel owners, from tour operators appeared in the event. He also reminded the tourism minister that the previous government had flopped as a ‘pather sathi’. So all the proposals that are coming to him, discuss them with everyone that will benefit the tourists, that will be done.
He also said that the center and the state will work together. On this day, the Minister said, “Mirik lake will be spent 100 crores to beautify the place. This money will come from the Centre. In fact, like other departments, the previous government did not take many benefits from the Centre. But in the last 15 years, the people of Bengal did not understand that there is a tourism department. We will do whatever will benefit the tourists. We will know what they want.”

If a tourist has a problem while visiting, he will get help by calling this number. The number was launched by Tourism Minister Shankar Ghosh and Superintendent of Police Syed Waqar Raja and other police officers. On this day, the tourism minister said, “We want tourists to return with a good experience when they come to visit.” This number has been introduced so that they do not face any problem. In the future, we will open some tourism stalls in some important places. I want tourists to bring more tourists. Let them promote us.
