Banana does not burn even in 1300°C fire
In the video, Ashu Ghai is seen continuously heating the banana peel on high fire. After the completion of the experiment, when he peels the banana, the fruit inside does not appear burnt. After this he explains that banana peel naturally works as a thermal insulator.
According to him, banana peel contains more than 80 percent water and its fibrous and spongy structure prevents heat from reaching the fruit directly to a great extent.
When exposed to fire, a char barrier is formed on the outer surface of the peel, which helps in reducing the effect of heat for some time. However, this does not mean that the banana will remain completely safe from fire for long or under all circumstances.
