Why are Bharat Dynamics shares in focus?

According to an Indian government official, India is preparing to supply BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles and Astra air-to-air missiles to Indonesia as part of its expanding defence exports.

While the BrahMos missile is jointly developed by India and Russia, the Astra missile is manufactured by Bharat Dynamics Limitedmaking the company a key beneficiary if the proposed export deal moves forward.
