Arvind Kejriwal said – Why is Modi government making auto companies lie on E20? If there is a problem with the vehicle, will you or the company pay the compensation?
New Delhi. Against the forced implementation of ethanol-blended fuel in India, Aam Aadmi Party patron and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched a major attack on the Central Modi government and auto companies regarding E20. He told that 6 auto companies were called and asked to say in the press conference that E20 does not cause any harm and it can be used in non-E20 vehicles also. Three of these companies namely Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and Hero MotoCorp lied to the country. He said that I have the owner’s manuals of these companies, which prove that they have lied to the country.

Arvind Kejriwal said that I will write a letter to all the auto companies who came to the government press conference, asking them to assure their customers in writing that if the mileage falls by more than 10 percent on using E20 in the vehicle, the company will compensate for it. If any part of the vehicle is damaged, the company will replace it free of cost. Next week I will also write a letter to the Prime Minister and ask that if there is any problem in someone’s car, will you pay the compensation or will the company pay?

He said that the government is trying to suppress people’s opposition to ethanol by giving the example of other countries. Whereas the truth is that fuel above E10 is not being used in Germany, France and America. Japan currently only uses E3, and Thailand also has both E10 and E20 options. He said that Brazil is the only country in the world where E100 is being used, and Brazil took 50 years for this transition. But in India, E20 was tested in 2023 and in just 3 years, E20 was imposed on the entire country.
Arvind Kejriwal said that I request Modi ji with folded hands. He said that there are 22 crore motorcycles and 8 crore cars in our country which are not made for E20. Due to government coercion, all these vehicles will become junk. He said that you should at least give the public an option. E10, E20 and E0 should all be available at all petrol pumps in the country. It should be the public’s decision as to which petrol they want to put in their car, not the government’s.
