Canada Jail Officer Case: Lady officer of Jalandhar had ‘relationship’ with a prisoner in the jail and did many other wrong things; Panic spread till Punjab

Women officers of Punjab are under the scanner. It is alleged that a woman officer of Jalandhar had a relationship with her jailed lover. Not only this, she used to meet the prisoner regularly. With his money, she got cosmetic surgery done and also took foreign trips several times. Investigation has revealed that Women’s Rights got her duty done in the same block where the prisoner was confined. The female officer used to spend most of the time around his cell. Apart from the official phone system of the jail, she also allegedly kept in touch with him through an illegal mobile phone. In return for this, the prisoner used to spend money on the female officer.

Cosmetic surgery done with prisoner’s money

Investigation has revealed that the expenses of surgery and foreign trips were also borne by the prisoner. This came to light when the investigation into the conspiracy of a deadly attack on the house of a senior jail officer began. It is alleged that this woman officer, resident of Jalandhar, had sent the photo of the number plate of that officer’s car to the prisoner. After this, on the basis of the same information, the officer was identified and the entire conspiracy was hatched. Project South became an important part of the Canadian Police investigation.

It is being told that on July 3, 2026, after the permission of the Ontario Superior Court, some parts of the 563-page ITO (Information to Obtain) were made public. After this the entire incident was revealed. The matter is currently pending in the court. At present the female officer is on paid leave, while the prisoner is still in jail.

On the other hand, according to Canadian Police, Nishwant Kaur Dosanjh’s family is related to Dosanjh Kalan village of Jalandhar district. 32-year-old Gurpreet Singh had gone to Canada as a truck driver from Punjab. Gurpreet is lodged in Toronto jail, Canada since October 2024 on drug smuggling charges. Currently he is facing the extradition process to America.

It is alleged that after Gurpreet reached jail, when Nishwant came to know about it, the relationship between them became active again. It is alleged that Nishwant got his duty posted in the same tower and block where Gurpreet was lodged. There were frequent personal meetings between the two from October 2024 to 2025. Nishwat used to spend more time than necessary around Gurpreet’s cell. After this, Gurpreet gave her expensive gifts, paid for cosmetic surgery and also bore the expenses of foreign trips.
