Major terrorist attack on police post in Pakistan, 9 policemen killed in overnight firing; 5 soldiers kidnapped

Pakistan Police Attack: Big news has come from neighboring country Pakistan, a safe haven for terrorists. A major terrorist attack has taken place in Ziarat district of Balochistan, the most restive state of the country. According to the information, terrorists suddenly attacked a police post late on Monday night. 9 policemen including two SHOs were killed in the rapid firing by the attackers.

According to the information, the attackers have kidnapped 5 soldiers during this period. Security forces took charge immediately after the incident. In the joint operation, security personnel killed 15 terrorists.

Giving information, Ziarat District Superintendent of Police Abdul Qudus said that the attackers opened fierce fire on the police post throughout the night. During this period, a large quantity of dangerous weapons were also used by both sides. Giving information about the police personnel killed in the attack, the officer said that SHO of Cowas police station Sohbat Khan, SHO of Mangi Khane Mohammad Hussain and anti-terrorist team in-charge Saifullah were involved in this attack.

Accusation of attack on TTP

Giving information, Media Advisor to CM of Balochistan province Shahid Rind said that the clearance operation against terrorists has been completed. This included Balochistan Police, Counter Terrorism Department, Frontier Corps, Anti-Terrorism Force and Special Operations Wing.

Shahid also claimed to have killed 15 TTP terrorists in the operation. At present, a continuous search is going on for the five policemen who were kidnapped by the attackers. He said that the intelligence based operation against terrorists will be further intensified.

Pakistani PM condemned

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the attack. He paid tribute to the soldiers martyred in the attack. Pakistani PM said that we will not allow anyone to create unrest in Balochistan. This fight will continue until your enemies are completely destroyed. Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi also condemned the attack.

Protestors blocked the national highway

As soon as the news of Monday’s attack spread, anger erupted in the entire area. Traders, tribes, families of the killed soldiers and transporters from Ziarat and surrounding areas protested against it. During this, the protesters blocked the national highway connecting Balochistan to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Due to this, goods vehicles and buses got stuck on the road itself. Local administration has been deployed to control the situation.
