Tezzbuzz Desk – One of the most talked about OTT releases of recent times, ‘Pritam & Pedro’ is the streaming debut of ace filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani. Due to its powerful story and brilliant performances, this series is receiving a lot of appreciation from both the audience and critics. However, the biggest attraction of this show has emerged as Rajkumar Hirani’s son Veer Hirani, who has made his acting debut with this series. His performance is getting a lot of love and praise from the audience.
Before coming in front of the camera, Veer Hirani had worked behind the scenes for many years. He worked as an assistant in many films with his father Rajkumar Hirani. Recently Rajkumar Hirani revealed that perhaps Ranbir Kapoor unknowingly inspired Veer to become an actor. He told that he always wanted his son to become a director like him and initially he had also convinced him to change his decision of acting.
Rajkumar Hirani said, “He used to make very good films. Even during his school days, he had made very good films. I always thought that he would become a director. After 12th, he took a break from studies and assisted me in ‘Sanju’. He was also with me in some shooting schedules of ‘PK’.”
He further added, “I thought he was learning direction, but one day he came and said he wanted to become an actor. I think he saw Ranbir and got impressed by him. Ranbir might have told him, ‘Tu toh bada hero hai.’ Just then he must have thought, ‘This is what has to be done now.'”
Vikrant Massey, Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani and Mona Singh are also seen in important roles in ‘Pritam and Pedro’. This thriller series, which presents a unique blend of cyber crime, comedy and complete entertainment, is directed by Avinash Arun. At the same time, it has been created and produced by Rajkumar Hirani, which is the first offering of his OTT journey. ‘Pritam & Pedro’ is currently streaming only on JioHotstar.
