Pratapgarh, 7 July. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing political attack on Congress and Samajwadi Party in Pratapgarh on Tuesday, alleging that both the parties are doing politics of dividing the society in the name of caste and faith. He said that the parties which once raised questions on the existence of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna and have been associated with allegations of firing on Ram devotees, do not have the moral right to speak on faith.
The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying program of 111 development projects costing more than Rs 384 crore in Vishwanathganj assembly constituency. He said that Congress and Samajwadi Party now have only two issues left to put before the public – division in the name of caste and attack on Sanatan Aastha.
CM Yogi said that in recent times these parties have tried to attack India’s Sanatan tradition and religious faith, but the public has understood their intentions very well. He alleged that Congress earlier used to raise questions on the existence of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna, while now it is talking about Ayodhya and faith.
He said, “The Congress which once used to say that Lord Ram and Lord Krishna did not exist, is today talking about Ayodhya and faith. Congress and Samajwadi Party once supported the Babri structure and now like chameleons, by changing colors, they are doing politics of faith.”
Targeting the Samajwadi Party, the Chief Minister said that the party which has been accused of firing on Ram devotees, does not have the right to do politics of faith. He said that parties that deny the existence of Lord Ram or suppress Ram devotees are now taking recourse to faith for political gains.
The Chief Minister also accused the previous governments of neglecting religious places. He said that the available resources were used to build boundary walls of cemeteries to preserve Hindu religious heritage. Such people should be told about which faith they are talking about.
At the end of his address, CM Yogi claimed that the people of the state and the country have understood the politics of Congress and Samajwadi Party. He said that the double engine government of Uttar Pradesh is moving forward giving equal priority to both development and heritage.
