Lock Upp 2: Sufi Motiwala explodes at Shreya Kalra over food row: ‘We’re not here to massage your ego’
The digital canteen drama in Cover Up 2 escalated into one of the most explosive confrontations of the season as Sufi Motiwala and Akanksha Choudhary fiercely criticised Shreya Kalra after she used her newly acquired power to make contestants apologise before serving them food
The tension began after Shreya refused to immediately order meals for Sufi and Akanksha, insisting that they first apologise to her. While she eventually ordered food for Sufi and Yogesh, the incident left several contestants visibly upset.
Soon after, Sufi vented his frustration, saying his stomach was hurting because he hadn’t eaten. Akanksha sarcastically replied that someone else would eventually arrange food for him, but Sufi made it clear that his issue wasn’t just about the meal.
“At the end of the day, we didn’t give you moong dal or take away your lunch. How are you a better human being?” he questioned, referring to Shreya’s earlier claims of showing humanity.
Sufi also reminded everyone of a previous argument between Shreya and Akanksha, saying, “She called you evil, heartless and inhuman. Just because she has the ‘badtameez’ tag, she thinks she can say anything, and we have to sit here and massage her ego just to get food. I’m not going to do that.”
As Harshad Chopra tried to console him, Sufi continued expressing his anger, claiming that everyone in the house was scared of confronting Shreya “Everyone is so scared of this woman. We just keep bowing down and feeding her ego,” he said
The confrontation soon turned into a direct face-off between the two contestants. When Sufi threatened to physically confront her in anger, Shreya immediately warned him, “Do that and you’ll be out of the game.”
The exchange quickly intensified, with Sufi accusing Shreya of seeking validation rather than showing kindness. “You don’t have humanity, you just want an ego massage,” he remarked
Shreya responded by saying she had never claimed to be a perfect human being. However, when Sufi reminded her that she had moments earlier spoken about having “insaniyat” (humanity), Shreya replied, “Thodi si toh hai.
Akanksha also joined the verbal spat, taking a dig at Shreya’s earlier remarks about her medication. Despite the constant taunts, Shreya ended the exchange by saying that once her medicine arrived, she would be fine
The explosive argument once again highlighted the growing divide inside the Lock Upp 2 house, where power, food, and personal egos continue to fuel some of the season’s biggest confrontations.
