Iran Drone Attack: Iran downed America’s MQ-9 drone, tension increased due to attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain

Tension between Iran and America has increased once again. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that they have shot down an American MQ-9 Reaper drone. This incident took place near Jam city of Bushehr province, which has increased military activity in the entire area.

According to IRGC, this drone was coming from the northern Persian Gulf. When it tried to interfere in operations near the Strait of Hormuz, it was targeted by advanced air defense systems. Initial reports said that several drones had been shot down in Isfahan and Bushehr, but this information was later clarified. It was officially reported that an MQ-9 drone was shot down in Bushehr, while an MQ-1 drone was targeted in Isfahan. This whole matter has come to light after the crash of an Apache helicopter of the US Army and the American attack on Iranian assets. IRGC has clearly stated that their air defense units are on high alert and they will respond strongly to any threat.

Regional tension has increased further after this incident. Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Ghaith has strongly condemned the missile and drone attacks carried out by Iran on Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan. He has described these attacks as a violation of international law.

At the same time, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry has issued a strict warning. The ministry said that such attacks are a major threat to civilians and essential infrastructure. Kuwait also said that it has the right to take necessary steps under the UN Charter to protect its sovereignty.
