Will the government make a big move in the monsoon session of the Parliament? Going directly against the Indian front now…
New Delhi : The government is focusing on completing two important agendas during the upcoming monsoon session of Parliament. The first agenda is to pass the ‘Women’s Reservation Bill’, while the second is to pass a law implementing the delimitation process. If this law is passed, the number of Lok Sabha seats in the country will increase to more than 800. For this Govt It is understood that ‘India’ is also preparing to divide the alliance.
Samajwadi Party and some other parties have no objection to the Women’s Reservation Bill. However, they say that when there is a discussion about increasing the seats for women in the Parliament, it should also be clarified what the exact status of reservation will be in those seats. At present there is a provision of reservation for SCs and STs in Lok Sabha seats. The Samajwadi Party and other parties are demanding that provision of internal reservation should also be made in 33 percent of the seats reserved for women.
130th Constitutional Amendment Bill: If you stay in jail for 30 days, the post of Chief Minister-Prime Minister will go! 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill
Besides, when the total number of Lok Sabha seats will exceed 800, it should also be clarified how the reservation of seats will be implemented. According to sources, the government has started taking steps regarding women’s reservation and delimitation. Both these laws could not be passed in the last session, as they were constitutional amendment bills. For that, instead of a simple majority, a two-thirds majority of the total number of MPs is required.
