Prayagraj. Phulpur police station has arrested the accused who is wanted in a serious case of rape and presented him in the court. The accused is accused of luring a minor girl, taking her to his home, raping her and threatening to kill her if she complained. Police have arrested the accused near his village and started further legal action.
On Wednesday, Phulpur police, acting on the basis of informer’s information, arrested the accused Praveen Patel from near Jaunpur Road turn in village Atta. The arrested accused has been identified as Praveen Patel (19 years), son of Manoj Patel, resident of village Atta, police station Phulpur, Commissionerate Prayagraj.
According to the police, in the complaint given by the victim’s father, it was alleged that the accused lured his minor daughter and took her to his house and raped her. Not only this, when she complained about the incident, the accused also threatened to kill the victim and her family members. On the basis of the complaint, a case was registered under Section 64(1), 115(2) and 351(3) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) in Phulpur police station under FIR No. 198/2026.
