Big decision of UP government, now these families will get permanent house
Lucknow. The Uttar Pradesh government is making continuous efforts to provide permanent housing to the poor and homeless families living in rural areas. Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana, operated in this direction, has emerged as a new ray of hope for thousands of needy rural families. The objective of the scheme is not only to provide houses, but also to give the economically weaker people an opportunity to live a safe and dignified life.
The government wants that no eligible family in the state should be forced to live in kutcha houses, huts or unsafe housing. For this reason, the scope of the scheme is being continuously expanded and more needy people are being included in it.
These families will get priority
Under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana-Rural, benefits are given first to those people whose economic and social condition is weaker. The priority list includes widowed women, disabled people, tribal families, people affected by natural disasters and eligible families suffering from serious illness.
Apart from this, the government has taken an important decision and included acid attack victims also in the scope of the scheme. The objective of this decision is to provide them an opportunity to live a dignified life with safe accommodation and connect them with the mainstream of society.
Application Process
If any eligible family wants to avail the benefits of this scheme, they can contact their village head or Panchayat Secretary. The application can also be submitted to the development block office along with the required documents. From time to time, the government prepares a list of eligible beneficiaries by conducting surveys in rural areas. If the name of an eligible family has not been included in the list, then he can try to get his name added by filing an application or objection in the concerned block office.
