Review meeting of communicable disease control and Dastak campaign concluded under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Isha Priya.

Ambedkarnagar- The first district level weekly review meeting of Communicable Disease Control and Dastak Abhiyan (July-2026) was organized in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Isha Priya. Chief Development Officer Anand Kumar Shukla and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Pramod Kumar were also present in the meeting. In the meeting, the activities conducted by various departments from July 1 till now were reviewed department-wise and necessary guidelines were given to make the campaign more effective and result-oriented. District Magistrate Isha Priya gave strict instructions to all the executive officers and District Panchayat Raj Officer to conduct fogging and anti-larva spraying regularly, extensively and effectively for the prevention of communicable diseases.

He said that all the activities of the campaign should be completed with departmental coordination, in a timely manner, with quality and with 100% target achievement. Isha Priya asked the Medical Superintendents, MOIC and doctors to discharge their responsibilities with sensitivity and full commitment. He gave instructions to ensure regular cleanliness, better health services and necessary medical facilities in hospitals.

In the meeting, the District Magistrate directed the District Agriculture Officer to make the farmers aware about the diseases spread by rats and moles, while the Chief Veterinary Officer was instructed to sensitize the pig farmers, regular cleaning of the pig enclosures and run awareness campaign to prevent serious diseases like AES/JE. Apart from this, timely identification of SAM and MAM children, providing them nutrition, health facilities and if necessary, admission in Nutrition Rehabilitation Center (NRC). Instructions were also given to ensure this. District School Inspector, District Basic Education Officer, Chief Medical Superintendent, District Panchayat Raj Officer, District Program Officer including officers of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Municipality, Nagar Panchayat and related departments were present in the meeting.
