Volkswagen Tyron 5-seater launched in India; Price starts from Rs 41.99 lakh
German car manufacturer Volkswagen has officially launched its new premium 5-seater SUV ‘Taron Life’ in the Indian market. The company has pegged the car at an ex-showroom price of Rs 41.99 lakh, making it the second Volkswagen model this year to be assembled locally in India. Interestingly, the new ‘Taron Life’ variant is a whopping Rs 5 lakh cheaper than the top-end ‘R-Line’ variant of the SUV, which was launched around five months ago. The car is available in seven attractive color options for customers namely Dolphin Grey, Cypressino Green, Oyster Silver, Nightshade Blue, Ultraviolet, Oryx White and Grenadilla Black.
The exterior design of this car is very modern and gives a premium look. The front of the car features attractive LED headlights with a full LED lens system and an illuminated molding strip between them. A glowing Volkswagen logo sits on the front radiator grille, which stands out with the body-color bumper and silver front bar. Coming to the side profile of the car, it gets black roof rails, ORVM with projection lighting (ORVM), trough lighting on the door handles and 18-inch “Bologna” alloy wheels with black diamond-turned finish, giving this SUV a rough and tough look.

In terms of dimensions, the SUV is nearly 4.8 meters long, with a wheelbase of a little over 2.7 meters, giving passengers excellent legroom and comfort inside the cabin. The 5-seater offers a huge boot space of 885 litres. If more luggage is on the way, this space can be expanded to a whopping 2,090 liters by folding the rear seats. This makes this car a great choice for long journeys and family trips.
Volkswagen has kept no shortage of luxury and hi-tech features in this variant. Inside, the car gets a large 12.9-inch ‘Discover’ touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital cockpit (all-digital instrument cluster), which supports ‘IDA’ digital voice assistant. For passenger comfort, it gets 3-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers and electronic parking brake with auto-hold function along with keyless entry.

Not only this, these seats also offer a massage function with 8 different programs, which relieves the fatigue of the driver and co-passenger. Additionally, the cabin gets an 8-speaker audio system, rear-view camera, wireless charger that can charge 2 mobiles simultaneously and connectivity features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
