Teaser of Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Chauhan’ in controversy, makers made two major changes
The title announcement video of Ajay Devgan’s upcoming film ‘Chauhan’ is embroiled in controversy. After protests on social media and technical objections, the makers have made two major changes in the teaser.
Actor Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub’s voice has been removed from the modified video, while in one dialogue the word ‘Colonel’ has been used in place of the military rank ‘Major’. However, the manufacturers have not released an official statement on these changes.
Released on the occasion of Veeru Devgan’s birth anniversary on June 25, this teaser shows Ajay Devgan in a powerful action avatar.
Some scenes of the film, based on the backdrop of Kashmir, especially the depiction of stone pelting and pellet guns, drew strong reactions on social media.
Kashmiri activists and a section of the audience objected to some of the dialogues and presentation of the film, following which the makers made changes to the video.
In the new version released on YouTube, the voice of Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub has been dubbed by another artist. Due to this, there is speculation about his exit from the film, although this has not been officially confirmed.
The film’s dialogues, such as “Pathan se kehna, Chauhan aa raha hai” and “Investment of Rs 35,000 crore, even after that there is no answer to the stone”, have remained a major cause of controversy.
