The story of Aadarsh Bal Vidyalaya revolves around a carefree headmaster named Dnyaneshwar Tripathi (KK Menon) of a run-down school. His desire to be a part of a big government training program in Cambridge is so powerful that he sets out on an unseen journey to improve the condition of the school. When he brings together an extraordinary team of teachers to turn around one of the most backward schools in the city, they are faced with everyday challenges – noisy children in the classroom, lack of resources, parental indifference and work pressures. The series beautifully blends emotion with humor and shows how even a seemingly weak institution can get a new lease of life.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals, Prime Video India, said, “Adarsh Bal Vidyalaya is a very funny and energetic comedy series that exposes the flaws and shortcomings of our system, which has been managed by the efforts of its people till now. The premise of this story is funny, heart-touching and relatable to everyone, which is inspired by Biswapati Sircar, Sameer Saxena, Himank Gaur and the show. The entire team has brought this beloved series to the screens on 24th July with its premiere on Prime Video.”
Biswapati Sarkar and Sameer Saxena, co-creators and executive producers of Aadarsh Bal Vidyalaya, said, “It started with a small idea – to tell the story of a school that appears to be failing by every measure, but is still held together by the strength of a few people who come there every day and keep trying their best. The series is based on some hilarious moments inside a dysfunctional school and a complicated world. It brings to the fore the everyday challenges and also shows the spirit of the teachers and students who never give up on each other. In this series, the character of Dnyaneshwar is not only funny but also heart touching, and Himank, along with our writers and the entire team, has brought this world to life on screen. It has been very relaxing.”
