Harmanpreet Kaur created history on Lord’s ground, only three cricketers in the world could do this feat.
England Women vs India Women One off Test Match: Indian women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur registered a very special record in her name by scoring a brilliant half-century in the Lord’s Test. She has become the first Indian cricketer to achieve this feat on this historic ground. Not only this, only three players before him in world cricket had been able to achieve this feat.
Harmanpreet Kaur on Friday (July 10) performed a feat at the historic ground of Lord’s, which no player in the history of Indian cricket could do before. In the first innings of the only Test match being played against England, Harmanpreet played a brilliant inning of 58 runs in 121 balls and with this she created history.
The 37-year-old batsman has now become the first Indian player to score a half-century in all three formats of Test, ODI and T20 International cricket at Lord’s. Earlier, he had scored two half-centuries in ODI cricket and one half-century in T20 International on the same ground. Now after completing fifty in Test also, this unique achievement was registered in his name.
No male or female player before him had achieved this feat in Indian cricket. Smriti Mandhana has definitely scored half-centuries in Test and ODI at Lord’s, but her highest score in T20 International has been 38 runs. Whereas in men’s cricket, Yuvraj Singh scored fifty in ODI and T20I at Lord’s, but he never got a chance to play Test on this ground.
Harmanpreet Kaur has now become only the fourth cricketer in the world to score fifty or more in all three formats at Lord’s. Before him, this feat was achieved only by two legendary Sri Lankan batsmen Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene and former Pakistan captain Younis Khan.

Mahela Jayawardene has a total of six 50 plus scores at Lord’s, which includes four in Tests and one fifty each in ODIs and T20Is. Kumar Sangakkara has scored more than 50 runs here five times, while Younis Khan has four 50 plus scores in his name. Now Harmanpreet Kaur has also become a part of this special elite club with four 50 plus scores.
