Under the direction of Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma, supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Sonbhadra Anil Kumar and the able leadership of Area Officer City Randhir Mishra, the joint team of Anti Human Trafficking (AHT) and Police Station Robertsganj has achieved another important success in the famous case related to human trafficking and illegal buying and selling of minor girls.

FIR No. 177/2026 registered at Robertsganj police station, wanted under Section 137(2), 143(4), 351(3), 61(2) read with Section 64(2)(M), 98, 99 BNS, and Section 16/17 and 5L/6, 5J(II)/6 POCSO Act and Section 3(2)(5) SC/ST Act. Accused Amit Kumar son of Ashok Pandit, resident of Pakki Sarai, Ward no. A special team was formed by Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra for the arrest of 34, Police Station Sasnigate, District Aligarh. On the basis of continuous raid by the formed team, analysis of technical evidence and information from the informer, the accused was arrested on 10.07.2026 near BSNL Gate of Sonbhadra Railway Station.

During the investigation, the active role of accused Amit Kumar has clearly come to light in the statements given by the victim before the court under Section 180 BNSS and Section 183 BNSS. The evidence collected proved that the victim was bought illegally through human trafficking and was forced into marriage and she was severely exploited.

According to the information received through CCTNS, a case of Section 323, 376, 506 IPC has also been registered against the arrested accused in Police Station Sasnigate, District Aligarh, Section 323, 376, 506 IPC, in which the charge sheet has been completed and sent to the court and the case is currently under consideration.

During interrogation, the accused admitted that the minor victim was brought to Aligarh through co-accused Bindu, Soni and Shiv Singh alias Ramlal and along with her father Ashok Pandit, he bought the victim by paying approximately ₹ 1,20,000/- and got her forcibly married to his younger brother Rahul Kumar. The accused also admitted that after the case was registered, he was continuously absconding to avoid police action.
