Privacy concerns increased with Meta AI Glasses, they will remember your every word and every step, know how it will work

Super Sensing In Meta AI Glasses: Meta is now working on new AI technology that can make smart glasses more advanced than ever before. According to the information revealed in media reports, the company is preparing such AI-powered Smart Glasses which will be able to understand and remember every activity of the user. This includes everything like what you are seeing, what you are hearing and where you went throughout the day. These smart glasses will be able to understand all this information and if needed, they will be able to tell you like an AI assistant. But this new technology has created a big debate regarding privacy even before its launch.

What is Meta’s Super Sensing feature?

It is being said in the reports that this project has been named Meta Super Sensing. In which some AI features have to be turned on manually in the existing smart glasses, but in the new model this feature is likely to be always active. It is being told that smart glasses will continuously understand the surrounding visual and audio input and send its reference to Meta AI. With this, AI will be able to give more accurate answers to the user’s questions. For example, if you ask at the end of the day what happened throughout the day, then AI will be able to tell you the gist of important events.

Glasses will capture photos and audio every few seconds

In the information just revealed, it is being said that Meta’s prototype smart glasses have been designed in such a way that they will capture pictures every few seconds and will also keep listening to the surrounding sounds. The company claims that photos and audio recordings will not be stored permanently. Instead, only metadata will be sent to the server so that AI can help the user in a better way.

Why are questions being raised on privacy?

Regarding this new technology, Meta says that the recording will not be saved permanently but experts have something else to worry about. In which the biggest question is arising regarding surveillance and user consent. According to reports, the LED indicator of the glasses may remain off during this Super Sensing feature as it is considered to be an AI function rather than photo or video recording. In such a situation, people present nearby will not know whether their activities are being recorded or not.

For your information, let us tell you that Meta has already faced controversies related to data privacy and facial recognition. In such a situation, it is believed that if this technology comes in the market, then strict privacy rules and transparency will also be equally important along with it. At present it is clear that the world of AI is progressing rapidly but along with it, the security of users’ privacy remains the biggest challenge.
