Google PhotosJan has started rolling out video remixes. This is a new artificial intelligence-powered editing feature. This feature uses the Gemini Omni model to transform short video clips with star/lish effects and visual enhancements. This tool allows users to change cinematic lighting, artistic filters and backgrounds using preset templates instead of traditional editing tools. Google says that Video Remix is designed to make video editing easier. It can help users to make stylish clips by just following a few simple steps.

Latest generative AI feature
According to a blog post shared by Google, the video remix app is the latest generative AI feature to arrive. This feature is designed to help you edit videos by applying ready-made templates instead of relying on traditional editing tools. Which users will get this feature?
The feature has started rolling out in Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Turkey and the US. Currently, this feature is only available to eligible Google AI Plus, Pro and Ultra users.
Editing facility with preset templates
Video Remix, powered by the Gemini Omni model, allows users to select any video from their Google Photos library and edit it with preset templates. These include cinematic retouching for low-light video, background replacement, and artistic styles such as watercolor, raw sketchbook, and oil painting. This feature is available along with Remix Photo to Video and Collage for the app’s images. Google introduced an image-based remix feature last year, and now Video Remix is extending similar AI capabilities to video.

At launch, Video Remix only supported videos up to ten seconds long. If users select a larger clip, they will have to select any ten second portion of the video before creating an edited version. Google says it can take a few minutes to generate a remix clip.
