Vinfast Inviting Entrepreneurs For Its Electric Two Wheeler Dealerships: But You Must Hurry
VinFast India’s official social media handles have shared a post with a QR code to scan, and interested entrepreneurs who want to enter the electric scooter business with VinFast have to fill up an online form. So, if you have been planning to enter India’s growing EV business.
This could be one of the earliest opportunities to partner with a global electric vehicle manufacturer. However, it has to be mentioned that you will have to act quickly, as the company will not take any forms after July 15.
The dealership application form has a number of questions for the applicants. These questions assess their business background, infrastructure, and investment capability.
The company is asking its applicants about their current occupation and the type of business they are already involved in. Existing automobile dealership owners are also being asked whether they currently operate any dealerships. And if the answer is yes, they are being asked to provide the relevant details.

Apart from the business background, the form also has a number of questions regarding the infrastructure. Applicants have to mention whether the proposed dealership property is owned or rented, how much showroom or land area is available, and whether the location is suitable for setting up a dealership.
VinFast also wants to understand the financial capability of prospective dealer partners. The application has questions asking how much they are planning to invest in the dealership and how much working capital they have available. Most likely, these details will help the company in shortlisting dealer partners which will be capable of meeting its showroom and service standards.

Now you may be wondering why India is in focus for the Vietnamese electric automaker. Well, the answer to this is that India is currently the world’s largest two-wheeler market, and electric scooters have become one of the fastest-growing automotive segments in the country. We have manufacturers such as Ola Electric, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Ather Energy, and Hero MotoCorp, which have already established a strong presence in this space.
So it appears that VinFast is now ready to enter this highly competitive segment. It is aiming to build a nationwide dealership network before launching its scooters. This will then help the company establish a strong sales and service presence from day one.

Although VinFast has not officially announced its complete product lineup for India, the company has already trademarked several electric scooter names in the country. Some of the names which recently surfaced online include the Evo 200, Evo Lite, Klara S2, Feliz S, Vento S, Theon S, and Motio.
Now it has to be mentioned that trademark registrations do not confirm the launch of a vehicle. However, it does indicate that these are products that VinFast or any other company is considering for the Indian market.

The VinFast Evo 200 is expected to become the company’s entry-level family electric scooter. It will focus on practicality, ease of use, and everyday commuting and still offer a competitive driving range. Internationally, this scooter is offered with 12-inch wheels, a 2.4 kWh battery pack, and an electric motor mounted on the hub.

The scooter weighs around 110 kg and, when launched, will compete with the likes of the TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Ather Rizta in the segment. It is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 81,000 in India.

VinFast is also expected to launch the Feliz, which will be a sleek scooter which will be priced in the range of Rs 90,000 to Rs 95,000. It is expected to get a 3 kWh battery pack and offer a claimed riding range of around 150 km. Lastly, the company is also planning to launch the Viper, which will be its most expensive scooter in India. It will offer a larger 4.8 kWh battery pack, a top speed of 70 kmph, and a price tag of Rs 1.63 lakh.
