Deputy Lokayukta sought answers from Minister of State for Energy Somendra Tomar and wife, Azad Adhikar Sena had complained
Lucknow . In the complaint number 2510-2025 submitted by Azad Adhikar Sena regarding the alleged discrepancy in the declared income and assets of UP Minister of State for Energy Somendra Tomar and his wife and certain facts related to Shanti Niketan Trust, Deputy Lokayukta, Uttar Pradesh has sought a reply from Minister Somendra Tomar and his wife.

Azad Adhikar Sena National President Amitabh Thakur (Amitabh Thakur, National President of Azad Adhikar Sena) had said on the basis of affidavits filed in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections of 2017 and 2022 that the total declared income of Somendra Tomar and his wife during this period was approximately Rs 72 lakh, while the total increase in their movable and immovable properties shows approximately Rs 2.13 crore. The complaint demanded an impartial and high-level investigation into the source and reasons for this alleged difference.
In the complaint, it was also said to investigate the facts of Somendra Tomar being the president of Shanti Niketan Trust and the said trust purchasing about 47,000 square meter of land worth about Rs 10.5 crore in Kayastha Mavandi village between January 2023 and April 2025.
