A case of a young woman being lured into a love affair by using a fake identity via social media has come to light in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. According to police, the accused befriended the woman by posing as “Krrish Jain” and later took her to Delhi for marriage. His true identity was revealed when the marriage proposal came to light. Bhopal police then took action, arrested the accused, and safely recovered the woman.
Friendship on Instagram
According to police, a 20-year-old woman from the Nishatpura area met a young man on Instagram about a year ago. The young man identified himself as Krish Jain and claimed to be from Lucknow. Their conversations continued, and their friendship gradually deepened.
Some time ago, the accused moved to Bhopal’s Karond area and began living and working. He then lured the woman to Delhi on the pretext of meeting her.
Search begins after family complains
When the woman did not return home, her family filed a missing person report with the police. During the investigation, police obtained photographs of the young man and woman, which were shared with the Railway Police and other police stations. Based on this, a search was launched for them.
Real Identity Revealed at Delhi Station
According to police, after arriving at Delhi Railway Station, the accused told the woman he would marry her at a mosque. During this time, the woman discovered his true identity. Investigation revealed the accused’s name was Jumman Ansari.
After the identity was revealed, a dispute broke out between the two. The Delhi GRP, who was present at the scene, intervened, detained both men, and informed the Bhopal Police.
Police Investigating the Case
Bhopal police arrived in Delhi, arrested the accused, and brought the woman back with them. Police are now investigating why the accused used a fake identity and whether he has committed similar crimes before. Officials say that every aspect of the case is being investigated and further legal action will be taken once the investigation is complete.
