Three passengers died in an accident on Kanpur-Lucknow highway in Unnao.
Unnao, 11 July 2026: A dumper truck rammed into the rear of a roadways bus on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway. Five people were injured in the incident, including the bus conductor, who was helping passengers board another bus. Three people died, while the conductor and another passenger suffered serious injuries.
The bus was going from Ayodhya to Kanpur
A roadways bus from Kashi depot was going from Ayodhya to Kanpur. It collided with another vehicle near Nawabganj. Thereafter, the driver took the bus away from the spot and parked it on the roadside near the Roadways Workshop in Dahi Police Station area at 6:00 am. While the conductor was standing in front of the bus, some passengers were waiting for him to board another bus. Meanwhile, a dumper coming at full speed hit the rear of the Kashi depot bus.
Three passengers died on the spot
When the bus moved ahead, five persons including the conductor came in front of it. Three passengers died on the spot, while the conductor and another passenger were seriously injured. The police immediately took the injured to the district hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
