Bangkok Pub fire: 27 killed, over 60 injured in massive blaze; Thai President confirms death toll
Bangkok: At least 27 killed and over 60 injured after a massive fire engulfed a popular pub in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok in the early hours.
The fire broke out at midnight at the Na Ladprao pub in northern Bangkok, triggering panic as thick smoke rapidly filled in the pub.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about half an hour, but by then the venue had been engulfed in thick smoke, trapping many people inside.
According to some videos circulating on social media showed a massive fire raging and plumes coming out of the front door of the pub. People were seen trying to flee as thick black smoke filled the area.

Thailand Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who visited the incident spot, confirmed the death toll.
According to the Thai President, a performer at the Na Ladprao pub reported the smoke coming form the circuit breaker near the stage before the power supply failed.
Thailand pervious pub fire accidents
In 2022, 14 people were killed in a fire accident at a music pub in the eastern part of the country.
In one fire accident like this, 66 people were killed, and more than 200 were injured in a fire during a 1 January 2009, New Year’s Eve celebration at the Santika nightclub in Bangkok.
