Pulsar has been one of the longest running name plates for Bajaj in the Indian market. We all know that Bajaj has been working on a new Pulsar for some time. It looks like Bajaj is now all set to launch the new motorcycle and just before the official launch, Bajaj has now released a teaser image of what looks like the new Pulsar. The official launch of the new Pulsar is scheduled for August 12.
The teaser was released by Bajaj and in the image we see a motorcycle covered with a satin black cloth. We could see the silhouette of the upcoming motorcycle but the exact details of the bike are not visible here.
Bajaj had recently confirmed that they are planning to launch 10 new motorcycles in the market by September this year and this included the new Pulsar 125 and 150. The bike seen in the teaser image here could be either one of them. The motorcycle looks similar to the test mule that was spotted a couple of months ago.
In the teaser image we see the signature headlamp design of the Pulsar and in the image we also see the front telescopic forks, new twin 5 spoke alloy wheels, large disc brakes and even a disc brake at the rear. The tank design on this motorcycle looks different and there is a shroud extending on the side of the tank towards the front forks. The disc brakes at there rear hints that it is the Pulsar 150.

We see a small crash guard and a plastic engine cover in the image. While not visible in the teaser here, we expect to see a redesigned body panel and also a new sticker work to give the bike a new identity. The bike gets a long single piece seat and it is likely to get an upright riding position like most commuters in the segment.
It is possible that Bajaj may also update the instrument cluster on the motorcycle and it would now support Bluetooth and turn by turn navigation. It would come with LED turn indicators and headlights. The tail section of the bike is likely to retain the sleek design with twin LED tail lamps with a tyre hugger and split grab handles. The signature twin-shocker on the Pulsar 150 or 125 is likely to be replaced with a monoshock.
There are multiple reports that suggest that the upcoming Pulsar is not gooing to be a facelift but will be a major generation update. It would get a new chassis and would also see an updated engine too. The exact details of the engine are not available at the moment but, the updated engine is going to make the motorcycle efficiency and refined without losing its character. The new motorcycle would mark the next chapter of Bajaj’s Pulsar journey and as it celebrates Pulsar’s 25th year anniversary. Like most Bajaj products, the upcoming Pulsar is also expected to be priced aggressively against its rivals.
