Government calls all-party meeting before monsoon session, opposition issues will be discussed; Parliament proceedings will start from July 20

New Delhi: The central government has decided to call an all-party meeting on July 19, a day before the beginning of the monsoon session of Parliament. In this meeting, the government will present information about its legislative agenda to all the parties, while the opposition parties will share their strategy regarding important issues to be raised during the session.

This traditional all-party meeting, held before every session of Parliament, will be held on July 19 at 11 am. The Central Government is preparing to introduce many important bills in this monsoon session. In such a situation, during the meeting, the government can appeal for cooperation from the opposition to run the proceedings of the House smoothly.

Monsoon session of Parliament may be turbulent

This time the monsoon session of Parliament is expected to be very heated politically. The opposition is preparing to corner the government on many issues, while the impact of changes within many political parties in recent times can also be seen on the strategy of the House.

The equations in Parliament have changed due to divisions in opposition parties and internal disputes. After the defeat in the West Bengal Assembly elections, internal turmoil has also been seen in Trinamool Congress (TMC).

The effect of changes in political parties will be visible in Parliament

According to the report, it has come to light that 20 TMC MPs have joined the National Citizens Party of India. These MPs have demanded to sit separately from the MPs of Mamata Banerjee faction in the Lok Sabha.

Apart from this, three Rajya Sabha MPs of TMC have resigned from the party and joined BJP.

At the same time, divisions have also been seen in Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT). Six Shiv Sena UBT MPs in the Lok Sabha have joined the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Earlier, there was also news of seven Rajya Sabha MPs of Aam Aadmi Party joining BJP.

Opposition will raise many issues including NEET-UG paper leak

During the monsoon session, the opposition can corner the government on many other important issues including the NEET-UG paper leak issue. The opposition may demand discussion on the education system, recruitment process and other national issues.

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has already informed that the monsoon session of Parliament will start from July 20 and continue till August 13, 2026.

He had told that President Draupadi Murmu has approved calling the monsoon session of both the houses of Parliament on the recommendation of the Central Government.

The government is preparing to push several important bills in this session, while the opposition will demand discussion on issues related to public interest. Through the all-party meeting, both the parties will clarify their priorities regarding the proceedings of the House.
