England’s star wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler will achieve a big achievement as soon as he enters this match. Actually, Butler will play his 200th ODI match. He made his One Day International debut against Pakistan in Dubai on 21 February 2012, after which he has remained an important player for England. Butler will join the few selected players to play 200 ODI matches for England.

All eyes are going to be on Team India’s playing 11 in the first ODI match against England. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are certain to play. Either Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul may get a chance as wicketkeeper. However, there is every possibility that KL Rahul will keep. Shubhman Gill and vice-captain Shreyas Iyer are also sure to play as captain.

The team management and captain Gill will have to struggle the most in choosing all-rounders and bowlers, because Washington Sundar, Akshar Patel and Shivam Dubey are available as all-rounder options.
