The Sierra.ev has managed to impress a lot of people because of the performance that it has to offer and the QWD system that the company is offering. Now, so far, there are not a lot of videos online showing the Sierra.ev performing off-roading. However, recently, a video has been shared online in which a Tata Sierra.ev owner took this SUV to the sand dunes of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Unfortunately, while coming out of the desert, the vehicle got stuck and had to be rescued by the locals.
The video showing the stuck Tata Sierra.ev on a sand dune has been shared on YouTube by EV Yatra on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that he recently took his Tata Sierra.ev with the QWD (all-wheel-drive) system on a trip to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, from Jaipur. He added that he wanted to drive the SUV on the sand dunes of the Thar Desert.
Now, before moving ahead and showing the clips of the vehicle getting stuck on the sand dune, the owner of the Tata Sierra.ev explains why his vehicle got stuck and who was actually to be blamed for this incident. Following this, he mentions that since he bought the vehicle, he wanted to test it on the sand dunes, and as a result, he took it on an off-roading adventure in the Thar Desert.
However, he then clarifies and also shows in the video that while driving on the actual sand dunes of the desert, the vehicle performed flawlessly. He elaborated that it did not take a lot of power and that it was driving smoothly across the sand dunes. Following this, he then explains the real reason why his new Tata Sierra.ev QWD got stuck.
As per the owner, he did not enter the Thar Desert from the main entrance side, as a lot of scams are currently taking place there. So, he found a side entrance from which he entered the desert and was driving. What happened after he completed his driving on the sand dunes was that he was leaving the desert and was just a few metres away from the road.

So, at this particular spot, which was a small sand dune, he parked his vehicle as he wanted to shoot an intro video for his vlog showing off the off-road adventure. However, what happened next was that he parked his vehicle on the sand dune for more than half an hour. Due to its heavy weight, the vehicle got a bit stuck.
Now, as the Sierra.ev is equipped with the QWD system, he did not know the correct way of taking it out. When the owner was trying to drive ahead, his vehicle started sinking into the sand dune due to excessive wheel spin. As a result of this, the vehicle got fully stuck, and it could not come out on its own.

The owner then explains and shows in the video that after his Sierra.ev got stuck, a few locals came to the rescue. They brought a few pickup trucks, which then, using a tow strap, helped in pulling out the vehicle. A number of people also pushed the vehicle while it was being pulled out by the pickup truck. Finally, after a while, the vehicle came out of the sand dune, and the driver drove back home to Jaipur.
In the video, the owner of the Sierra.ev highlights that he is sharing the video and explaining how the vehicle got stuck because he does not want to show that the Sierra.ev got stuck because it is not a capable vehicle. He admitted that the vehicle got stuck due to his mistake and does not want to blame the vehicle. Also, he added that he will be going to the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer again with his SUV. However, this time around, he will be taking a support vehicle such as a Toyota Fortuner, a Hilux, or any other SUV that could help in retrieving it in case the vehicle gets stuck.
