Youth attacked with acid after entering shop, accused absconding; Police registered a case

Lucknow. There was a sensation when a young man was attacked by throwing acid inside a shop in the Chinhat police station area of ​​the capital on Tuesday afternoon. After committing the crime the accused fled from the spot. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and immediately took the injured to the hospital and got him treated. The police have registered a case against the unknown accused and started searching for him.

According to the police, the incident occurred around 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon. The victim youth was present at a shop located in Chinhat area along with his three companions. Meanwhile, an unknown person came into the shop and suddenly threw acid on the young man. After the attack, the accused fled from the spot.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, Chinhat police station immediately reached the spot and sent the injured youth to the Community Health Center located on Malhaur Road for treatment. After first aid there, the doctors referred him to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences. After treatment, the doctors discharged the injured from the hospital. The other three youths present at the shop at the time of the incident were not injured and their condition is said to be normal.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the Assistant Police Commissioner of Vibhutikhand also reached the spot. Along with inspecting the incident site, he went to the hospital to inquire about the well being of the injured youth and got information about the treatment from the doctors.

Along with collecting evidence from the incident site, the police have started scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby. Efforts are being made to identify the accused on the basis of other technical and physical evidence.

On the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered under relevant sections against the unknown accused in Chinhat police station. Police say that several teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused. Soon the accused will be arrested and legal action will be taken against him as per rules.
