Drinks like cold drinks and orange juice increase the risk of cancer! Big revelation in new research

Cancer Causes by Cold-Drink: If you also drink too much cold-drinks and sugar-rich liquid drinks, then you might have become addicted to these things. This addiction has become a big global problem today. Recently, medical experts have done a worldwide review in which regular consumption of drinks like cold-drinks, sweetened drinks and packed juices can increase the risk of cancer. Scientists of World Cancer Research have reviewed 158 reports of 51 cohort studies from around the world under the Global Cancer Update Programme.

According to research, excessive consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages can lead to pancreatic cancer and colorectal cancer. This research, in addition to cold drinks, also includes orange juice, which is linked to skin cancer. Health experts have also expressed concern about this.

Many big revelations made in research

According to reports, those who drink approximately 355 ml of sugary drinks daily are at higher risk. They have a 9% higher risk of pancreatic cancer and a 7% higher risk of colorectal cancer.

Orange juice increases the risk of skin cancer

The most surprising finding of this research is that excessive consumption of orange juice can lead to skin cancer. Drinking orange juice has been linked to an increased risk of melanoma and basal cell carcinoma.

Daily cold drinks increase the risk of obesity

Consuming sugary drinks also increases the risk of other obesity-related cancers, such as ovarian cancer and breast cancer. However, the evidence for this is not yet conclusive. Consuming sugary drinks can increase obesity, insulin resistance, and inflammation, all of which are factors that contribute to cancer.

How is the risk of cancer increasing?

Doctors have suggested that orange juice is linked to the compounds furocoumarin and psoralen found in oranges. These compounds make our skin more sensitive to the sun’s UV rays. Excessive exposure to sunlight after drinking orange juice can increase the risk of photochemical skin cancer.

Diet Coke Still Safe!

Researchers have found that Diet Coke has slightly better artificial flavors than other drinks. You can drink it. There’s little evidence that these drinks increase your risk of cancer. Some studies suggest a possible link to leukemia, but this hasn’t been confirmed.

Indian doctors are also keeping an eye on

Indian doctors are also discussing the potential for cancer risk from cold drinks and orange juice. Dr. Tarun Kumar, a cardiologist in Delhi, stated that these sugary drinks increase the risk of cancer. Therefore, their consumption should be limited. He also advises that consuming whole fruits is more beneficial than regularly drinking juice.
