Maruti Suzuki launched the facelifted Brezza in India on July 24th. The new Brezza has a starting price of 7.39 lakh, ex-showroom and comes in four trims. Now, a detailed video walkaround of the range-topping ZXI+ variant has surfaced online.
This video tour was shared on the channel ‘Area of Interest’. The car featured in it is finished in the Sizzling Red- Bluish Black dual-tone colour scheme. The Brezza is now available with two engine options- 1.0L turbo-petrol and 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol (K15C). This video shows the latter.
The car is seen standing in a dealership. The setting is well-lit, and every design detail of the new Brezza is clearly visible. The video shows the front, front three-quarter, rear, and side views of the car.
The front fascia has significant design differences from the previous model. It gets square-shaped LED headlamps, a redesigned grille with smoked Chrome ornament (the previous model had a painted fibre part) and a new bumper.
The front bumper now has a bold Silver section and an integrated Silver skid plate. To understand this difference clearly, the video shows a picture of the old Brezza’s front fascia alongside the new one. The triangular fog lamp housings are also new. There are even air curtains on the front bumper for improved aerodynamics.
The car also gets new 16-inch alloy wheels, wearing 215/60 rubber. The side claddings now get a Silver garnish. The previous model had plain Black claddings. The rear gets an LED- halogen combination lamp cluster. Other highlights include Silver roof rails, shark-fin antenna, and body-coloured pull-type door handles.
The host uses the smart key to unlock the vehicle and takes the camera inside. The new Brezza gets a significantly improved cabin. The dashboard design feels upmarket. The material quality has improved. The trims that were finished in Satin Silver on the previous model are now in gloss Black. The seats now get new leatherette upholstery.
The feature list has been updated. The biggest change on this front is the addition of a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It comes with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, inbuilt applications and Alexa integration.
The video shows the touchscreen’’s interface, responses and options in detail. It even has controls for the climate control and air purifier integrated into it. The screen also hosts controls for the ambient lighting and Suzuki’s in-built navigation.
The new Brezza comes with a 64-colour ambient lighting system. Another important addition in the new Brezza is a 360-degree camera. The video quality of this seems to be decent.
Other features on the new Brezza are automatic climate control, wireless charging pad with active cooling, ventilated seats (controls for this are placed on the centre console, behind the gear shifter), USB charging points, single-pane sunroof, reflection-based head up display (HUD) (only available on ZXi+), steering-mounted controls, illuminated and cooled glove box, cruise control, and more.
The front armrest has been redesigned and is now larger. The new Brezza comes with ample storage spaces as well.
Even the top-spec ZXI+ variant lacks an all-digital instrument cluster. It comes with a twin-pod analogue cluster with a 4.2-inch colour TFT MID at the centre. This is the same setup that we used to see on the previous Brezza.
The video also shows the rear row. Space remains largely similar to that of the previous model. The rear seat can be folded in 60:40 fashion and comes with two adjustable headrests. Rear occupants also get AC vents and charging points. The facelifted Brezza offers 328 litres of boot space. Interestingly, even the top variant lacks a spare wheel. A puncture repair kit is provided instead.
The video also shows the engine bay. The K15C petrol engine makes 103PS and 139Nm. This four-cylinder, naturally aspirated unit feels smooth and refined. It can be had with two transmission options on the facelift- 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic. The car in this video has the automatic gearbox. It comes with paddle shifters as well.
