Now there will be no irregularities in Panchayat funds! MP government launches ‘Drishti’ digital audit platform

MP Drishti Audit Platform: Every day, questions are raised by the citizens regarding the development of the village and the Panchayat fund related to it. Recently, Mohan government has started a new digital initiative, through which financial supervision of all the panchayats of the state will now be done. Madhya Pradesh government has launched ‘Drishti Online Platform’, through which now all the information related to financial condition, income and transactions of about 23,011 villages of the state will be uploaded on this platform.

This decision of the government will bring more transparency in the financial system of Panchayats and Panchayats will become more accountable than before. Under this new initiative, it will now be easy to find out where and how much Panchayat money has been spent and how much amount is left in the fund. Every citizen of the village can check this financial information of the Panchayat from his mobile phone sitting at home.

What is Drishti Online Platform?

Drishti Digital Audit Platform has been developed by the Directorate of Panchayati Raj with the technical support of National Informatics Center (NIC). Financial information of all the Panchayats of the state will be made available on this platform. This will bring transparency in the audit process.

Earlier, whichever officer conducted the audit, he had to collect data from many places, but now after the launch of this new platform, the auditor will not need to go to any Panchayat and see the records again and again. He will be able to check the income, expenditure, payment and financial information of the Panchayat through Drishti App through his mobile or computer while sitting at home.

How will this work?

The complete accounting of money of Panchayats will be recorded in digital form on Drishti platform. By logging into the auditor portal, auditors will be able to check the earnings, expenses, payment documents, financial transactions and expenditure on government schemes of any panchayat online. They will also know whether the funds received from the government have been used properly or not. With its arrival, the audit work will become much easier, faster and organized than before.
