Gold Silver Price Today: Gold and silver are cheap again, know why there was a decline and what will be the trend in future?
Business Desk – Gold Silver Price Today: On July 15, 2026, gold and silver prices again declined. There was a rise in the prices of both after the US inflation data came on Tuesday, but on Wednesday morning, selling was again seen in the global commodity market (COMEX) and domestic futures market (MCX). Due to this, both gold and silver became cheap.
Why did gold and silver fall despite weak US inflation?
According to experts, US inflation figures were weaker than expected, but the market’s worries are not over yet. Crude oil prices remain high due to tensions in the Middle East and the ongoing conflict between America and Iran. If oil remains expensive, inflation may increase again and the US Federal Reserve may decide to increase interest rates.
The new Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh has also indicated that interest rates can be increased if necessary to control rising inflation. The fear of rising interest rates usually puts pressure on non-interest bearing assets like gold and silver. This is the reason why despite weak inflation data, the prices of both fell.
What were the prices in COMEX?
At around 8 am on July 15, gold on COMEX fell 0.81% to $ 4,036.80 an ounce. Whereas silver fell by 0.73% and was seen trading at $ 58.675 per ounce.

Silver prices also declined in the bullion markets. In major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Chennai, the price of silver was recorded at Rs 2,34,900 per kg.
What will be the trend going forward?
Experts believe that the movement of gold and silver in the coming days will depend on the interest rates of the US Federal Reserve, US-Iran tension, crude oil prices and the strategy of global investors. If geopolitical tensions increase, demand for gold as a safe haven may increase, while fears of rising interest rates may keep pressure on prices.
