Eligibility and Eligibility Rules
To avail the benefits of this scholarship scheme, students will have to fulfill some essential conditions. Students applying must be currently studying in 8th class in a government, private aided or council school in the session 2025-26. Along with this, must have obtained at least 55% marks in the session 2024-25. However, giving some relief to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students, minimum eligibility of 50% marks has been kept. Also, this scheme is only for those families whose annual income is less than Rs 3.5 lakh.
Who cannot apply?
This scholarship is only for those students from economically weaker section who study in government or aided schools. If a student is studying in a private school, Sainik School, Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya or any residential school, then he/she will not be considered eligible for this examination.
