Fierce agitation of farmers against the consolidation process in Banda
To tie. The anger of the farmers regarding the ongoing consolidation process in Banda district is continuously increasing. Farmers, under the leadership of Janata Dal United (JDU), have opened a front to protest against alleged corruption, irregularities and fake reports in the consolidation department. Farmers remained on indefinite strike at Jawahar Bhawan-Indira Bhawan complex for the second day for their various demands. In the memorandum submitted to the Consolidation Commissioner under the leadership of JDU state vice president Shalini Singh Patel, it has been alleged that in many villages including village Amlikor, without completing the work of demarcation of the circle, information about the completion of the work was sent to the government. Farmers say that only about 40 percent work has been done on the spot, whereas in the departmental records it has been shown as complete.
It has been demanded in the memorandum that an impartial investigation should be conducted into the entire matter and strict action should be taken against the officers and employees found guilty in the investigation.
