England-Argentina great clash in FIFA semi-finals, title battle will be exciting!

The second semi-final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be played at Atlanta Stadium (Georgia) from 12.30 am (Indian time) on Wednesday. In this match, 1966 champion England will face defending champion Argentina. In this ‘high voltage match’ the last ticket to the final will be at stake for both the teams.

The match between England and Argentina has long been dictated by political tensions and historic rivalries featuring memorable sporting events, with each encounter attracting global attention. Their last encounter at the World Cup took place years ago, making this new chapter one of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament.

Even though Argentina is entering the semi-finals as the defending champion, their journey to defend the title has not been easy. Lionel Scaloni’s team progressed easily from the group stage, but their courage and spirit were tested again and again in the journey to the knockouts.
