Desk: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the Test series against Sri Lanka. It is reported that his left knee problem persists, making it difficult for him to travel to Sri Lanka. Previously, when Team India was selected for the Sri Lanka tour, Bumrah was included in the selection process. However, the condition was that he would only travel to Sri Lanka if he was fit.

The Indian team is scheduled to depart for Sri Lanka on August 4th. The news of Bumrah’s exclusion before that time comes as a major blow. This is because the Test series against Sri Lanka is crucial for Team India to strengthen its position in the WTC.
Initial examinations at the BCCI’s Center of Excellence revealed problems with Bumrah’s left knee, after which the medical team advised him to undergo full-time recovery instead of sending him to Sri Lanka.
Sources stated that no negligence could be tolerated in Bumrah’s case. Therefore, his full recovery is the primary goal. Sources said there is still a lot of cricket to be played this year. The Asian Games, the New Zealand tour, and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy are all areas where Team India will need Bumrah.
